Then, prepare a medicinal soup by boiling 100 grams of Radix Isatidis and 100 grams of Scutellaria baicalensis in 2.5 kg of water. Once the soup is ready, mix it with rice or feed and administer it to the fish once daily for two days. If the condition is severe, repeat the treatment up to four times.
**2. Long-necked Fish with Red Skin Disease, Rotten Gills, and Enteritis:**
For long-necked fish suffering from red skin disease, gill rot, and enteritis, mix 100 g of Banlangen with other herbs such as Coptis, Scutellaria barbata, Andrographis paniculata, Pleurotus ostreatus, licorice, and thatch root. Prepare a decoction according to the appropriate ratio, then add 2 g of oxytetracycline. Mix this into the feed and administer it once daily for five consecutive days. Combining this with topical disinfectants can significantly improve results.
**3. Grass Carp Hemorrhagic Disease:**
To prevent hemorrhagic disease in grass carp, start administering Banlangen and Andrographis paniculata one month before the peak season. The method involves boiling 2.5 kg of Radix Isatidis and 1.5 kg of Andrographis paniculata in boiling water for one hour, then adding 0.5 kg of salt. Mix the resulting juice with 4 kg of wheat bran or corn flour to create bait. On the second day, re-boil the remaining residue for 1.5 hours and use it again. Alternatively, mix 0.5 kg each of rhubarb, cork, scutellaria, and Radix Isatidis with 0.5 kg of salt and feed for seven days. Another option is to mix 70% Banlangen with 30% bitter wood, and feed 2.5–5 kg of bait per 100 kg of fish monthly, along with 0.5 kg of drug powder and 5–10 g of sulfa drugs for 5–7 consecutive days.
Using Banlangen in these ways not only helps in treating fish diseases but also supports overall fish health and growth. Always follow proper dosages and consult with an aquaculture expert for best results.
