On May 8, 2013, a preparatory meeting for the second China (Zhengzhou) International Abrasives and Grinding Exhibition was held at the Zhengzhou Sanmao Research Institute. The event brought together key representatives from various industry associations, including Li Zhihong, Secretary-General of the China Superhard Materials Association; Wang Mingyuan, Secretary-General of the China Coating and Abrasives Association; Chen Peng, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Abrasives Association; Huo Wei, General Manager of Exhibition 5 at the China Automotive Industry International Cooperation Corporation; Pan Xiaoyu, Director of the 5th Exhibition; and Shi Chao, Executive Deputy General Manager of the Association Website. Attendees also included other relevant leaders and officials.
The meeting focused on reviewing the progress of preparations for the upcoming exhibition, which is scheduled to take place in November. It was noted that the event is gaining momentum, with nearly 200 exhibitors from both domestic and international markets already confirmed. The exhibition space has reached over 6,000 square meters, and it's expected that this year’s event will be about 30% larger than the first one.
Known as the only world-class professional grinding technology exhibition, the China Sanmao Exhibition covers a wide range of industries, including abrasives, coated abrasives, super-hard materials, and related products. It serves as a platform for showcasing the latest technologies and solutions in the grinding industry.
During the meeting, Li Zhihong, Wang Mingyuan, and Chen Peng delivered speeches on behalf of their respective associations, emphasizing the importance of expanding the exhibition’s reach and enhancing its value for participants. They highlighted the need for continued collaboration among all stakeholders to ensure the success of the second edition.
The first China (Zhengzhou) International Abrasives and Grinding Exhibition, held in November 2011, was a major success. It featured 220 exhibitors across 10,000 square meters, attracted more than 20,000 professional visitors from 16 countries and regions, and hosted over 50 events with more than 1,000 registered participants.
This year’s event will feature 12 main activities, including the 50th anniversary celebration of China’s synthetic diamond industry, the 6th Zhengzhou International Superhard Materials Forum, and several specialized forums on corundum, silicon carbide, coating abrasives, and more. Additional events include product launches, technical exchanges, and industry-specific conferences covering topics such as engine manufacturing, efficient grinding, tool technology, and precision measurement.
With active preparations underway and strong participation expected from companies across the globe, the second China (Zhengzhou) International Abrasives and Grinding Exhibition is set to be an even bigger and more impactful event.
