Introduction to the Growth Habit of Fragrant Snow: The Fragrant Snow, also known as the Scented Orchid, is a delicate and beautiful plant that thrives in specific environmental conditions. It prefers a cool, humid, and well-lit environment but has limited cold tolerance. The ideal temperature range for its growth is between 15°C and 20°C, with a minimum winter temperature requirement of 3°C to 5°C. Temperatures around 13.5°C to 15°C can help promote bulb rooting and germination. For flower bud differentiation, a low temperature of 8°C to 13°C is needed, while the development of the buds requires a moderate temperature of 13°C to 18°C. If the temperature drops below 18°C, flowering may be delayed, and the flower stems may become shorter. On the other hand, higher temperatures can lead to earlier blooming, but the overall plant growth might be weaker.

Soil: This plant grows best in loose, fertile sandy loam soil. For home gardeners, it's common to mix 1/3 fine sand with 2/3 peat soil to create a suitable growing medium. This combination ensures good drainage and provides the necessary nutrients for healthy growth.

Light: Fragrant Snow plants benefit from short-day conditions during the flower bud formation stage. However, once the buds have formed, longer daylight hours can help the plant bloom more quickly and beautifully.

Fertilization: During the growing season, regular watering and fertilizing are essential. Applying organic liquid fertilizer every two weeks helps support strong growth. A balanced compound fertilizer can also be used in moderation. It's important to keep the potting soil moist but not waterlogged, allowing it to dry slightly between waterings.

Flowering Period: Typically, the bulbs are planted in September. By early November, flower buds begin to form, and by late November, the differentiation process is complete. As spring approaches, the leaves gradually die back, and the bulbs enter a natural dormant phase, ready to start the cycle again the following year.
