This year, Shaanxi's export volume reached a record high

This year has seen a remarkable surge in power transmission from Shaanxi Province, marking a historic milestone for the region. According to the Shaanxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Northwest Power Grid Corporation and the provincial power company have successfully completed their power delivery missions, achieving a "three new highs" record. Despite a general decline in power delivery across other provinces in the Northwest, Shaanxi's efforts have stood out, setting new benchmarks in regional electricity exports. By November, the Shaanxi Power Grid had already transmitted 62.6 billion kWh of electricity across regions. In March alone, the total amount of electricity sent outside the province reached 1.605 billion kWh, while on March 24, the daily delivery hit an impressive 57.97 million kWh—setting new records for annual, monthly, and single-day power exports. These achievements highlight the growing importance of Shaanxi as a key energy supplier in the region. Over the first 11 months of the year, the province transmitted a total of 28,038 million kWh through three different methods. Compared to the same period last year, this represents a 3.18% increase. Notably, the transmission of electricity to Hebei South via the "point-to-network" approach dropped by 6.48%, but there were significant gains through other channels. The "net-to-network" transmission to the Central China Power Grid increased by 55.96% to 6.26 billion kWh, and the distribution network to neighboring provinces saw a 9.92% rise, reaching 1.352 billion kWh. In just the first half of the year, Shaanxi's trans-regional electricity supply reached 5.284 billion kWh, surpassing the total delivered in the entire previous year. This growth reflects improved infrastructure, efficient management, and strong demand from neighboring regions. As the province continues to expand its energy export capabilities, it is playing an increasingly vital role in supporting the national power grid and meeting rising energy demands across China.
