Xinjiang Power has made significant progress in its power grid development, with investments reaching record levels. In 2012, the company allocated 11 billion yuan to build a robust and efficient power grid, launching a total of 118 transmission and transformation projects rated at 110 kV and above. This marked a major step forward in modernizing the region's energy infrastructure.
At a recent press conference on quality service, Xinjiang Electric Power Company revealed that it had invested 38.15 million yuan this year into establishing an integrated payment management platform. This initiative has led to the opening of 35 new business sites, 66 standardized power supply stations, 8 additional charging points, and 64 cooperative business offices. In total, there are now 422 financial and third-party collection points across the region, making payments more convenient and diverse for residents.
In urban areas like Urumqi, a "10-minute payment circle" has been established, ensuring easy access to payment services. Meanwhile, rural regions have largely achieved the goal of having a payment point in every village, significantly improving service accessibility for remote communities.
Looking ahead, Deputy General Manager Ye Jun announced that in 2013, the company will continue to expand its power grid and rural electricity networks. An investment of around 5 billion yuan is planned to further enhance service efficiency, simplify fee payment processes, and increase the availability of online and mobile self-service payment options in cities. These efforts aim to make energy services more user-friendly and accessible to all residents of Xinjiang.
