Instructions for the operation of the cooling tower should be noted

Key Considerations for Operating Cooling Towers:
(1) Regularly monitor the oil level in the gearbox of the speed reducer, ensuring it meets the specified standard. It’s recommended to use hyperbolic gear oil with a viscosity grade of 22-28 or industrial gear oil with a viscosity of 90-120, opting for higher viscosity oils during summer. After approximately 500 hours of operation, drain the old oil and replace it with fresh oil.
(2) Before starting fans, motors, and reducers, inspect them according to the respective product guidelines. Pay special attention to motor wiring, which should strictly follow the wiring diagrams provided by the motor manufacturer. Wiring inconsistencies can lead to mistakes, so double-check connections before proceeding. Start-up should follow a sequence from low to high speeds. When installing fan blades at the specified angles, ensure they align correctly with the sample values. If the high-speed operating current exceeds the rated value, stop immediately and contact our factory. Adjustments to the blade angles should meet these criteria: A. Measure the height difference Δh between the top and bottom edges of each blade 150mm from the hub; the variation among all blades should not exceed 2mm; B. Ensure the elevation value of the top edge of each blade 150mm from the hub does not vary by more than 0.002R (where R is the fan radius); C. The motor current at high speed should range between 0.9 and 0.95 times the rated value.
(3) Poor water quality in recirculating or makeup water systems necessitates the implementation of water treatment measures, including the installation of a side filter.
(4) Since FRP components are combustible, open flames are prohibited during maintenance of cooling towers. If flame usage is unavoidable, stringent safety protocols must be followed, including approval from relevant fire safety authorities. Firefighters and firefighting equipment should be on-site. For flame-retardant FRP materials, additional costs apply upon order placement.
(5) Thermal performance, noise levels, and vibration standards are designed by the Fourth Design & Research Institute of the Ministry of Machinery Industry, while product quality is managed by the cooling tower manufacturing facility. If oversight assistance from the Fourth Department is desired, a joint technical agreement must be signed by the user, the manufacturer, and the relevant department of the Ministry of Machinery.
