Mechanical classification of the transmission

Core Tip: Common components include hydraulic torque converters, planetary gear mechanisms, clutches, brakes, oil pumps, filters, pipes, control valve bodies, speed regulators, etc., according to the functions of these components, They are divided into five parts: hydraulic torque converter, transmission gear mechanism, fuel supply system, automatic shift control system and shifting control mechanism.

It is understood that the outer shape and internal structure of the transmission are also different, but their composition is basically the same, which is combined by a hydraulic torque converter and a gear automatic transmission.
Stepless speed changer

The continuously variable transmission is mainly composed of a compacted active device, a friction transmission mechanism and a speed control mechanism. The tapered drive wheel and pressure plate are pressed by a set of disc springs, and the input shaft is coupled with the drive wheel by a key to form a compact active device. A set of tapered planetary friction wheels are sandwiched between the compacted driving wheel and the pressure plate, and the outside is sandwiched between the tapered retaining ring and the speed regulating cam to form a friction pair; when the compacting active device is in operation The friction wheel is purely rolling. Since the fixed ring and the speed regulating cam do not move, the friction wheel rotates while rotating, and the planetary frame is rotated by the central axis of the planetary friction wheel and the slider bearing.

Synchronous meshing gearbox

Synchronous meshing gearboxes are generally used in hand-gear transmissions. Before the gears are meshed, they are first contacted by the friction cone mechanism provided on the two gears, so that the two gears rotate in the same direction before meshing. The box, usually in the first gear to the second gear, the second gear to the third gear, or the third gear to the fourth gear, has such a device, and the reverse file does not.

Automatic transmission

The automatic transmission uses a planetary gear mechanism for shifting, and it can automatically shift the speed according to the degree of the accelerator pedal and the speed of the vehicle. The driver only needs to operate the accelerator pedal to control the speed. There is no clutch in the automatic transmission, but there are many clutches in the automatic transmission. These clutches can be automatically separated or closed as the speed of the vehicle changes, thus achieving the purpose of automatic shifting.

Manual / automatic transmission

The manual/automatic transmission was first introduced by the Porsche depot in Germany on the 911 model, called Tiptronic, which allows the high-performance sports car not to be constrained by the traditional automatic restraint, allowing the driver to enjoy the manual shifting type. This type of car has "+" and "-" selection gears in its gear. In the D range, you can freely change the downshift (-) or the upshift (+), just like the manual gear. The driver can force the downshift to decelerate like a manual gear before entering the corner, and the low-middle gear can be used to bend out when cornering. The "+" and "-" shift buttons have been added to the steering wheel of the current automatic transmission, so that the driver can not remove the steering wheel and reduce the gear.
