Pingxiang builds China's powder metallurgy capital contracted 18 project investment 2.28 billion yuan

A few days ago, as an important special event of the Third World Low Carbon Ecology Expo Jiangxi Province Strategic Emerging Industry Promotion Conference, Jiangxi (Pingxiang) Powder Metallurgy Advanced Equipment Manufacturing Industry Conference was held in Nanchang. As a strategic emerging industry highlighted by our province, Pingxiang hopes to fully demonstrate the broad development prospects of this low-carbon and green industry and the future development hope of a city it carries through this event. At the meeting, 18 projects were signed, with a total investment of 2.28 billion yuan.

Powder metallurgy is a process technology for making metal or metal powder (or a mixture of metal powder and non-metal powder), forming and sintering, and manufacturing metal materials, composite materials and various types of products. Environmentally friendly and resource-saving features are widely used in automobile, motorcycle and other manufacturing industries. The industry has a history of development in China for nearly 10 years, and Pingxiang has been involved in this field for nearly two years. Although it started late, Pingxiang has made the powder metallurgy industry a success. At present, the first powder metallurgy industrial park in China has settled in Shangli County, Pingxiang. Pingxiang clearly proposed to build a world-class, the largest powder metallurgy industry base in the country.

At present, there are 526 enterprises in the powder metallurgy and equipment manufacturing industry in Pingxiang City. In 2013, the main business income was 44.9 billion yuan, accounting for 29.7% of the city's main business income. Through 10 to 20 years of development, Pingxiang strives to build the “National Largest, World-class” advanced powder metallurgy manufacturing base, and builds China's powder metallurgy capital and the world's advanced equipment manufacturing “Powder Valley”.
