German company Siemens has further advanced the design by optimizing the internal threading, increasing the spiral angle and thread height, which enhances heat transfer even further. These improved versions are typically made from T12 or T23 materials and are used in ultra-supercritical boiler systems.
The standard for internally threaded seamless steel pipes in high-pressure boilers is defined under GB/T, with an English title of "Internally Threaded Seamless Steel Pipe for High Pressure Boilers." It was first issued on August 16, 2006, and became effective on January 1, 2007. The standard is currently active and administered by the China Iron and Steel Association. It was developed by the National Steel Standardization Technical Committee, with contributions from companies such as Shanghai Special Steel Tube Co., Ltd., Metallurgical Industry Information Standard Institute, and Wuxi Zhenda Steel Pipe Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
