Grasp the proper control of rice pests and diseases

At present, all farmers and large-scale grain growers should seize the appropriate time for pest prevention and control, ensuring effective management of crop diseases. For late rice seedlings, the main focus is on controlling stem borers to prevent panicle neck rot and southern rice black streak dwarf disease. In the early season, rice fields are mainly affected by rice mites and planthoppers, so it's important to monitor leaf mites and sheath blight, while also preventing rice blast, thin strip disease, and rice smut. The recommended timing for intervention is during the early rice and late rice planting periods. Specifically, early season rice should be treated between August 1st to 5th, while late rice should be managed from August 8th to 12th. For pest control, use "Kemmin" at 50 ml or "Kangkuan" at 10 ml to manage sputum and sorghum. To control leaf stalks, apply "Blue Sharp" at 100 ml or "Kangkuan" at 10 ml. For managing rice planthoppers, you can use pyroquilon at 2 packets or buprofezin at 40 g. To control sheath blight, use "Well Wax Bud" at 2 packets. Additionally, for blast prevention, mix isoprothiolane at 100 ml with 50 kg of water and spray after 4:00 PM. It is important to maintain a shallow layer of water in the field during the application period to ensure effectiveness. Proper timing and accurate application of these pesticides are crucial for maintaining healthy crops and maximizing yield. Farmers are advised to follow these guidelines closely and adjust based on local conditions and weather forecasts. Regular monitoring of the fields is also essential to detect any new pests or diseases early and take immediate action. By staying proactive and informed, farmers can significantly reduce the risk of crop damage and ensure a successful harvest.
