The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has recently released the "Conditions for the Construction Waterproof Coiled Materials Industry." This new policy aims to guide the sustainable development of the construction waterproofing sector, reduce overcapacity and unnecessary construction projects, optimize the industrial structure, promote energy efficiency, and enhance overall quality and operational efficiency.
The access conditions cover seven key areas: site selection and production layout, production scale, technology and equipment, energy consumption standards, environmental protection measures, product quality control, safety management, occupational health, social responsibility, and supervision mechanisms for companies in the waterproof coiled materials industry.
In particular, for newly established asphalt-based waterproofing membrane projects, the minimum single-line production capacity is set at 10 million square meters per year. For new polymer-based waterproofing membrane projects, the minimum single-line capacity is 3 million square meters annually. These requirements are designed to ensure that only high-quality and efficient producers can enter the market, ultimately driving innovation and long-term stability in the industry.
Additionally, the regulations emphasize the importance of environmental compliance and worker safety, reinforcing the need for responsible business practices. The goal is not just to regulate the industry but to elevate it to higher standards, making it more competitive and sustainable in the global market.
