Nissan R&D Center Sets Up V2G Charging Pile to Realize Bidirectional Flow of Electric Power

Nissan R&D Center establishes V2G charging piles to achieve bi-directional flow of electricity

Nissan recently installed eight vehicle-to-grid (V2G) charging stations at the European Technology Research and Development Center in Cranfield, England. The vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology will enable two-way interaction between the grid and the electric vehicle, while charging the electric vehicle, but it will also be able to transfer the electric energy from the car battery to the grid when necessary.

The charging pile will be used by employees of Nissan's European technology R&D center, which is also the first time this R&D center uses this technology. Nielsen's power supplier Enel, which launched a pilot project earlier this year, has put 100 vehicles in the UK into grid (V2G) charging equipment.

As part of Nissan’s smart travel vision, Nissan has been promoting the development of vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology and energy storage solutions for its major European facilities. Nissan said that V2G charging stations at the European Technology Research and Development Center will prove that electric vehicles can become part of a cleaner and more efficient energy network.

David Moss, vice president of vehicle design and development at the European Technology R&D Center, said at the press conference: “This gives us an opportunity to show to the outside world how Nissan’s R&D energy management system will play a role in the real business environment. The integration of this technology into Nissan's equipment demonstrates our confidence in it, and we firmly believe that Nissan's electric vehicles will play an important role in a sustainable and more efficient technological ecosystem."

In order to realize the real-time monitoring of the coal mine ventilator, the finite state machine theory is used to analyze the state and control the working process of the Ventilator Control system. According to the operating conditions of theventilator, the control circuit is divided into different working states. These working states are combined into a specific limited state machine to realize the control and state transfer of the VFD, Thus, the reliability of ventilator control system can be improved.
