Adjusting the oil gap in bearings is a critical process that ensures smooth operation and long service life. Several factors can influence this adjustment, and understanding them is essential for proper maintenance and performance optimization.

1. Influence of Lining and Gear Installation
When the lining wears out, it can affect the parallelism of the gear shafts. This misalignment alters the meshing of the gears, causing an imbalance in the center of gravity. As a result, the bearings at both ends of the gear shaft may experience uneven stress, leading to irregular bearing clearance. This inconsistency directly impacts the ability to adjust the oil gap properly. In such cases, repairing or replacing the worn lining can help restore the correct alignment. Similarly, if the gear is not installed correctly, it can cause poor meshing, which again leads to uneven bearing clearance. To prevent this, it's common practice to install the gear into the housing, run it idle for 3–5 minutes, and then perform the necessary adjustments. 2. Effect of Bolt Tightening
During installation, the way Bolts are tightened can significantly impact the oil gap. If one side of the bearing seat is tightened first and then the other side, the resulting clearance at each end may differ. This can lead to excessive vibration during operation and reduce the bearing’s lifespan. To avoid this, it's important to pre-tighten both ends of the bearing simultaneously before applying full torque. This ensures that the working clearance is consistent and the bearing operates smoothly.
