The ERP system at Zhengzhou Abrasives Grinding Research Institute Co., Ltd. has been in operation for two years, and its implementation has significantly enhanced the company’s operational efficiency. To ensure that all departments are effectively utilizing the system, the company’s trade union, in collaboration with the comprehensive computer room, organized an ERP knowledge ability test. This initiative aims to evaluate the understanding and application of the ERP system across different roles within the organization.
The examination consists of two parts: a written test and a practical operation assessment. The written test will take place on the afternoon of October 24th in the lecture hall on the second floor of the office building, while the practical session is scheduled for October 28th and 29th in the fourth-floor conference room. Since the U8 system was launched in May 2011, its usage has continuously expanded, covering key business areas such as finance, logistics, sales, and production. In addition, the computer room has developed an on-site production management system based on the U8 platform, successfully implementing the first phase in processing and manufacturing, product development, special equipment rooms, and the second-stage grinding disc manufacturing department. This covers five major products and six different departments.
The ERP system plays a vital role in the company's digital transformation and information management. The leadership team has been actively involved in the system’s development, from initial requirements analysis to full-scale implementation. Mr. Qiu, in particular, has consistently participated in technical discussions and implementation planning meetings, offering valuable insights and regularly visiting the frontline to understand how the system is being used in practice.
In line with the principle of “learning by doing and applying what is learned,†the company decided to conduct this ERP knowledge test. The exam questions were provided by the finance, logistics, and marketing departments, while the computer room conducted a thorough review and prepared different sets of question papers tailored to the specific roles and permissions within the system.
This test targets all employees, especially department heads, technical staff, and internal personnel who are key users of the ERP system. It not only helps assess the current level of ERP knowledge but also motivates employees to improve their skills and make better use of the system in their daily work. Overall, the test serves as an effective tool for promoting continuous learning and enhancing the overall performance of the company.
