The ERP system at Zhengzhou Abrasives Grinding Research Institute Co., Ltd. has been in operation for two years, and during this time, it has become an essential tool for managing various business processes. To evaluate the proficiency of employees across different departments in using the ERP system, the company's trade union and the comprehensive computer room jointly organized an ERP knowledge ability examination. This initiative aims to enhance user understanding and improve overall system utilization.
The exam consists of two parts: a written test and a practical operation session. The written test will take place on the afternoon of October 24th in the second-floor lecture hall of the office building, while the practical test is scheduled for October 28th and 29th in the fourth-floor conference room. Since the U8 system was launched in May 2011, its usage has expanded significantly, with more business areas such as finance, logistics, sales, and production being integrated into the system.
In addition, the computer room has developed an on-site production management system based on the U8 platform. So far, the first phase of implementation has covered processing and manufacturing, product development, a special equipment room, and the second-stage grinding disc manufacturing department. This includes five types of products and six different departments, demonstrating the system’s growing importance in daily operations.
ERP plays a vital role in the company’s digital transformation and information construction. The leadership team has shown strong support for the system, from initial requirements analysis to full-scale implementation. Mr. Qiu, in particular, has actively participated in discussions about system technology and implementation plans, offering valuable suggestions. He frequently visits the grassroots level to understand how the system is being used and to gather feedback from users.
In line with the principle of "learning and applying what you learn," the company decided to conduct this ERP knowledge test. The questions were prepared by the finance, logistics, and marketing departments, with the computer room responsible for compiling and reviewing the materials. Different sets of exams were created based on the roles and access levels of each employee within the system.
This test targets all employees, especially department heads, technical staff, and other key users of the ERP system. It not only provides a clear assessment of their knowledge but also motivates them to further engage with and apply the system in their daily work. By doing so, the company hopes to continuously improve efficiency and promote a culture of continuous learning and system optimization.
