Diamond film interdisciplinary research has made new breakthroughs

In recent years, Wuhan Engineering University has been committed to the intersection and integration of disciplines. The school has made outstanding achievements in the research and development of new materials, and has made breakthroughs in plasma technology and new materials and biomedical polymer materials. Professor Wang Jianhua, Vice President, as the technical person in charge, researched the cavity-type microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition diamond film technology. In 2002, he won the second prize of the provincial scientific and technological progress, and undertook the “Special Material Diamond Film Device Manufacturing and Product Industrialization of the State Planning Commission”. "The project, presided over the "Study on the Process of Industrialized Diamond Film Cutter", a major project of the Provincial Science and Technology Department. During the implementation of these projects, it solved the key technical problems in the design, manufacture and stable operation of high-power microwave plasma devices. The development level of China's microwave plasma device has reached the international advanced level. Its series of plasma research and teaching equipment has added an annual output value of more than 40 million yuan, which is of great significance.

Professor Li Jie, member of the Political Consultative Conference of Hubei Province and president of Wuhan Engineering University, pointed out that in the future, the school will further highlight its characteristics, further strengthen the functions of the disciplines to undertake the three major tasks of teaching, scientific research and social services, and improve the ability of independent and sustainable development of disciplines. The construction of the "two-type society" comprehensive supporting reform pilot zone will make Hubei's construction become an important strategic fulcrum to promote the rise of the central region, and make new contributions!
