Aluminum plum blossom knowledge brief description

[China Aluminum Network] Plum blossoms after neutralization and washing of aluminum.

The quality literature describes a) the relationship between the amount of Zn and the size of the cross-sectional area and the degree of air cooling. In mid-June, the alloy ingots with high Zn content (0.027% to 0.047%) that are prone to snow spots were placed in the winter. After these alloy ingots were extruded, the same specifications of the profiles were treated with alkali etching. No snow spots appear.

b) The size of the snow spot varies, the larger diameter is 5.2mm. The snow spots on the surface of some aluminum profiles are dense, up to 90 per square centimeter area. The distribution of snow spots on aluminum profiles that are 6m long is irregular: some are on one end and the other end is not; some are on this side, the other is not on the other side, and there are several sides.

Conclusions (1) The snow spots of aluminum profiles produced in summer mostly appear in the extruded cross-sections such as hollow profile with large cross-sectional area and curtain wall with thick wall thickness.

(2) When the Zn content of the extruded aluminum is between 0.02% and 0.045%, whether the surface has snow spots or not is related to the speed of quenching and quenching.

(3) In the summer, aluminum profiles with a Zn content of more than 0.02% are produced, and the surface of the profiles is prone to snow spots. In winter, aluminum profiles with a Zn content of less than 0.045% are generally not prone to snow spot defects.

(4) Snowflake-like spots on the surface of aluminum profiles are not resistant to corrosion. The product after the reaction of CL ion in the washing tank is the product of the reaction with dilute sulfuric acid - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -V, the countercurrent flow of water washing, the aluminum hydrothermal distillation, etc. Can exclude its factors.
