How to correctly set the automatic height adjustment of CNC plasma cutting machine



At present, the application of CNC cutting equipment in various industrial industries is gradually expanding, but in practical applications, operators will always encounter various problems. Today we will explain the setting problem of the automatic adjustment of the CNC cutting machine.

First, the cutting mode of the CNC plasma cutting machine system is set to the plasma mode. Turn on the arc voltage regulator power supply. Next, set the auto-adjuster from the following three aspects.
    1. Test whether the manual adjustment is working properly.
Try pressing the TORCH↑ and TORCH↓ buttons on the height adjuster to see if the direction of the torch is correct. Press the manual up button at the upper limit of the torch. The torch should not have a rising action. Press the button at this time. Button, the torch should be lowered; press the manual down button at the lower limit of the torch, the torch should not have a falling action. At this time, press the up button, the torch should rise, and confirm that the upper limit and lower limit are reliable. If the torch cannot rise (or fall), it may be that the torch is at the upper (lower limit) position or the upper limit switch (lower limit switch) is damaged. Please replace the damaged limit switch in time, otherwise the motor will be damaged due to the switch not working.
     2. Initial positioning test
Press the IHS TEST button on the height adjuster. At this time, the plasma torch should move downward at the speed set by the initial positioning down pulse width (IHS DOWN PWM). The nozzle will stop after contacting the steel plate and rise with the initial positioning. The speed rise positioning time (IHS time) set by the pulse width (IHS UP PWM) stops at the appropriate arcing height. The arc starting height is generally 1.5 to 2 times the cutting height. According to the POWERMAX1000 specification, the cutting height is 1.5 mm for the power supply, and the arc height should be about 3 mm. According to the cutting experience, the user can adjust the positioning time to change the arcing height to achieve the best cutting quality while reducing consumable damage.
     3. Arc voltage test
Press the IHS TEST button on the height adjuster to bring the torch to the arcing height. Click the ARC TEST button on the height adjuster to start the arc successfully and observe the arc voltage value measured in the arc voltage monitoring window. The detected arc voltage value should be similar to the arc voltage set value. If the difference between the two is too large, please adjust the arc voltage setting to make it similar. Otherwise, it will cause the cutting height to be too high during cutting or drag the torch on the steel plate. In both ways, the cutting quality will be degraded. And cause serious damage to the torch supplies.  

      In short, the use of any equipment is closely related to the professional quality of the operators, so operators should actively understand and learn the relevant professional knowledge of the equipment, so as to accumulate some experience.
